Establishment of The SpinChem Lab

March 1, 2023

Dr. Jun Zhang received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tohoku University in September 2019, under the guidance of Prof. Hitoshi Miyasaka. Her doctoral research focused on the regulation of magnetic and electrical properties of porous layered magnets through chemical stimuli. In March 2023, Dr. Jun Zhang returned to China from Tohoku University, Japan, to join the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences at Wuhan University as a full professor. Dr. Zhang has established the SpinChem Lab on March 2023, focusing on cutting-edge research in spin chemistry.

The SpinChem Lab will concentrate on the following research areas:

· Development of novel molecular porous magnets.

· Real-time tracking of molecular transformations in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).

· Exploration of spin manipulation and magnetic phase transitions in porous materials.

Join Our Team

The SpinChem Lab is now recruiting Ph.D. students, Master and undergraduate students and research assistants. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who are eager to contribute to innovative research in spin chemistry and molecular science.

Interested candidates are encouraged to send their CV, a cover letter outlining their research interests and experience to Dr. Jun Zhang (junzhang@whu.edu.cn). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.

Join us at The SpinChem Lab and be part of a dynamic team pushing the boundaries of spin chemistry and molecular materials science.
